Do I need a kitchen designer?Absolutely, Yes!!! Remember every inch in your kitchen counts! A designer from Charleston Cabinets is an expert, who can professionally analyze your space, pinpoint architectural constraints, assist in the selection of appliances, their sizes, and incorporate them into the design. They create functional layouts while specifying precise measurements for cabinetry manufacturing, and coordinate proper installation. At Charleston Cabinets, our Team makes sure your kitchen looks great and functions properly for years to come.

Do I need a contractor and/or architect? After a thorough analysis of your space, we will be able to answer this question. If you are anticipating the moving of walls, reworking electrical & plumbing, or contemplating an addition you most likely will be needing additional professional services to perform your remodeling and even secure building permits for your project. If you don’t have a contractor or architect we certainly have some great recommendations for you.
-
If I have a contractor will you work with him?Absolutely. Many of our projects involve working with outside contractors and builders. We are very accustomed to coordinating with your contractor details needed to accurately build the space, furnishing detailed cabinetry & appliance dimensions, window and door centerlines, and even plumbing and electrical notes. With our expertise, this is an efficient and professional working relationship. We still prefer to handle the installation of your cabinets. We have found most contractors are willing to relinquish this task knowing that we will take full responsibility for the cabinetry now and in the future.

How do I know if I can afford Charleston Cabinets? We encourage our prospective clients to be as realistic as possible about their expected investment. During your first free consultation, we will review the measurements and photos of your space, discuss your goals, and show you examples of our designs comparable to the scope of your project. While cabinetry costs are a big part of the project, keep in mind so are the appliances and general construction costs. We will discuss these other cost components with you, so we are all starting with the same realistic expectations. We believe this is so important to a successful working relationship, as we begin to guide clients in making the best decisions. With over 30 years of experience in cabinetry design and construction, and the combined talents of our team – we believe you can’t afford not to work with us.
-
Will I have to pay a separate design fee? No!!! We do not ever charge a separate fee for the layout and cabinetry design of your space. After our first free consultation, we hope you’ll take the next step with Charleston Cabinets Inc. at which point we will ask for a “design deposit” to officially start the design process of your space, and the collaboration of working with you until the design is perfect!! If additional rooms are added to the project, more than 3 layout options are required, or design time extends beyond a three-month period, we may require additional design deposits. All deposits will be fully applied to cabinetry purchases.
-
Can you supply cabinetry for more than one room?We can, and often do!!! We can coordinate all your cabinet decisions, making sure each of your choices works together, often helping Clients “spread out the budget” by incorporating our different cabinetry lines in different rooms of your house. One line of cabinetry might work best for kitchens and master suites since it provides the ultimate design flexibility. While other vanities, laundry rooms, and mudrooms may not require as much customization, yet still require excellent quality and durability. We specialize in investment balance among the multiple rooms in your home, providing the convenience to clients of “one-stop shopping.”
-
Who installs my cabinets?Like our design services, we do not charge for the installation of cabinetry. We strongly recommend that our team handle this critical step. Our Installers are truly experts in working with cabinetry. They are usually involved in much more than just installing your cabinets. Most likely at our warehouse they signed for and inspected your cabinets when we received them. Then are responsible for transporting the cabinetry safely to the job site, installing the cabinetry, hardware, and appliance panels. Our installers are perfectionists, ensuring perfect function, as well as making sure the final touch-ups look great. Our installation is also guaranteed with free adjustments and touch-ups during the first year, as well as the labor on warranty items.
